Years With Ramblin' Boots, From Pullman City to Wijchen

Years With Ramblin' Boots, From Pullman City to Wijchen

In early 2018, Rogier Brink and Julia Hulshof — the same musicians Robert still performs with today as a duo and trio — founded the country band Ramblin' Boots, and Robert joined right away. Their very first show was in Berlin, and from there things moved fast: they were soon touring the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Switzerland, and Norway.

One of those many stages was Pullman City in Germany, a Western-themed park in Bavaria where the band played, among other things, the Christmas market — exactly the kind of show captured in this photo, with Robert on the left.

Even as Robert built his own solo career — with a debut album recorded in Nashville and international radio tours — the collaboration with Ramblin' Boots never stopped. Robert and Rogier still regularly share the stage, including at Wildlands in Emmen and Attractiepark Slagharen, and on July 4, 2026, they played together again, this time joined by American artist Nate Kipp, at a private show in Wijchen.

From the Western streets of Pullman City to today's festival stages — this long-running partnership shows exactly how international the European country scene is, and how Robert has been right in the middle of it since the very beginning.
